This is the first episode’ s animatic Storyboard for our up coming series, Lord of the Pwn (TBC).

Major Project Idea:

Man wakes up on beach, face half underwater. Looks up to find the beach deserted, thick bushland close to shore. He turns to face the horizon, covering his eyes to look for land marks. Seeing nothing man made, he looks around for some sort of path away from the beach. He stops suddenly, looking up to the sky in sudden shock. His legs fall beneath him , camera moves to master shot behind him, panning vertically up into the sky. The sky grows dark, and a shadow descends upon the protagonists body.

–Flash back to protagonists old life. average everyday life at tafe/uni

introduce the protagonist as a student at tafe, his girlfriend and he are talking in one of the classrooms.
girlfriend leaves room, saying she’ll be back. protagonist stares out the window, noticing a fair amount of movement of pedestrians outside.

he then notices students gathered around a single computer, making quite a lot of noise. goes over to see what is the commotion, but is unable to see.. he then notices lots of people leaving the room to go outside. we hear from projector display of the computer: subtle news of a mass object rumoured to be moving towards earth from space. (protagonist is more focussed on the whereabouts of his girlfriend and does not hear).

Students everywhere look up to the sky in response to others doing so.
an ominous black sphere appears in the sky - massive, almost the size of a moon.
blindling lights occur, people start to dissapper in the flashes of light.

protagonist now running around the campus can still not find girlfriend .
he moves along with the crowd to the streets to try and see better.

finally as the sphere descends closer to the earth, the protagonist becomes engulfed in light.

back to shot of protagonist on beach looking up at the sky.
his girlfriend appears next to him, others aswell descending down to the beach from the bushland. looking up to the sky, reflecting the same horror that appears on the protagonists face.
camera pans back to reveal the Earth hanging in the sky. A beam of light projects from the surface of the dark moon towards earth, collapsing it in a spiral of wreckage.

Early sunday morning, autumn, 2008
What is the weather like?
Brilliant sunrise, streaming colours of red orange and pink with storm clouds from the previous night passing over the bay.

Sleep was a waste of time. Who could miss such a wonderful morning when there was a city to explore, people to meet, foods to taste and new life to inhale. I stepped on to the elevator, leaving the floor where my room was, descending to the wonderful new world I was about to explore. The glass pane of the elevator looked out upon the autumn leaves of the park, glittering with the golden sheen of morning. Truly, there is an unappreciated reason for jet-lag. One can appreciate with accute senses the exploration of a new reality.
